Dear Friends of Violet Kiambi Gatwiri

About a month ago, I shared here an article titled 10 years later, in 1 hour, for a medical appeal of a very good friend Violet who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

First, Asante Sana for your prayers and financial sacrifices.

Second, Violet, traveled to India a few weeks ago, she underwent surgery and emerged victoriously, We sincerely give thanks to the HEAVENS.

Third, she is recuperating well, and what remains of us is to always remember her & her family in our prayers. What I am sure of, is, she is an OVERCOMER, will OVERCOME, and get her SMILE back!
When possible, will keep all of us posted with her recovery process, and I bet somebody somewhere, with a similar case will get encouraged. For now, however, just take a minute and say a pray for her and all other cancer patients!
Stay Blessed and have a great evening. SHALOM!

THE THOMAS SANKARA STORY - AFRICA'S CHE GUEVARA

In the early hours of a night in 1987, one of Africa’s youngest leaders, President Thomas Sankara, was murdered and quietly and quickly buried in a shallow grave. He was only 37 years old.  But first who is Thomas Sankara?  Born Thomas Isidore Noël Sankara on 21 December 1949 in Yako French Upper Volta. He met Adama Touré, the academy's director who taught history and geography and was known for having progressive ideas. Adama Toure invited a few of his brightest and more political students, among them Sankara, to join informal discussions about imperialism, neocolonialism, socialism, and communism, the Sovie...

Her So Far Away!

In Her Own World Life has always been a journey, a journey with lots and lots of challenges. A journey with both success stories and failure. A journey for the strong and the weak where time and chance happens to both but only the smart ones sail through. Look, on this journey of life, in my daily hustles and bustles, I meet lots of people, people who have had positive and negative impact in my life, in equal measures. And NO, my story is not on that line. My story is on "HER." Look, on this day I am walking out of my place of work and I spot  HER. You see, men can point out pointees amidst the crowd. True story; a pointee is a pointee if only she behaves like a pointee... so here I am stranded looking at this pointee, and yes, magic happens I get a smile. True to my male genes, by a split of a second I had her phone number, I had her name. Bingooooo!! I just scored. Couple of days later, thanks to WhatsApp, we were best friends, just like that, that's how it...

Click Awakening The Fire Within - Part 1  to read her journey before you begin Part 2 . Awakening fire within perhaps is the greatest weapon that any individual can have and has just never realized that they do. Have you ever been in a situation where you did not know what to do or how to handle a problem and then in a matter of time you gained courage and strength and without knowing it you did the unimaginable? Well that’s the power that every individual possesses and we sometimes as human beings either look down upon ourselves or have just never known that we have it. In my journey I’m seeking to bring out the fire within and be the very best that I can ever be. Awakening Fire Within  I now had six months of medication intake nonstop until when I could get better. I was given some very strong painkillers and some blood thinners. Blood thin...
