Finding Tina Season 1 Episode 4 The House Party!

Oya Marvin, any plans for Easter? I made the call to him,  indoors bro, no plans, my lady will be traveling to Maasai Mara for team building with some friends he responded. Then let's do Kisumu, I said, he shouts back saying, Tina! Yes, Tina, let's find her, besides you can't stay indoors for four days, I say to him sighting the long Easter weekend that was ahead of us. Okay, deal!

Hello, Kev, coffee this evening? It's on a Thursday Lunchtime, just after the call to Marvin, the next day being Friday (Easter holiday), I needed Kev, to accompany us to Kisumu, but there was one challenge, his lady was in town and that only meant traveling together with her or better still Kev, remaining. As I respectable person, I knew I had a lot of convincing to do, to make Kev, travel with us, and leave Kelsy, his chic, behind. NO, I was not going to have us travel together with Kelsy on some Goose Chase, and lose the respect she has for me. So, a coffee chat had to be set, to convince Kev to talk to his lady about this journey, and Kev was in for the evening chat.

Man, we doing Kisumu tomorrow, Marv is in, are you in? As we sip our coffee, Kev sits there looking at me, smiling, "what do you think of the coffee" he asks, to which I reply "Kisumu tomorrow?" Damn Pete, you know, Kelsy is around that means I am locked down. That's why we are having this coffee, I know Kelsy is around and I know being Easter she would want some time with you, I am not telling you to chose between your lady and us, what I am saying, we will be back by Saturday midday and the two of you can have all the time, besides, Monday is still a holiday.

Waiter, ebu niongeze coffee, Kev says, "You see bro, Kev, retorts back, we had plans for tomorrow and knowing who Kelsy is, we must pass through my place, so that you explain to her, why you are taking her man to some goose chase, besides she respects you and it will make more sense if you did. Deal! The rest of the evening was spent discussing politics and our work.

Hi, Kelsy, it has been long how are you? Niaje umenifichia white? I salute Kelsy as we enter into Kev's place, she smiles back, Aki Pete ni kazi ndio mob, at least tuko na off, by the way, I am cooking chappos tomorrow, and since you have refused to settle down, don't hustle with any cooking tomorrow, all cooking will be done here. Waa, that's how our plans were thrown off balance, Kev, just looked at me smiling, he knew what had happened, Kelsy had innocently, thrown our plans out of the window. You see I came here to tell Kelsy that Marvin, Kev and I were traveling to Kisumu on some important mission and it was important Kev joined us, but here she was with the whole day tomorrow planned out, she was hosting us, and she had shopped and planned a mini-party, her sister was going to join us too.

Umesema chappo? Yes, kwanza sis will be preparing them, she is an expert, we ngoja kesho uone. At this point, I received a text on my WhatsApp from Kev, who had all along been watching the drama unfold, "Bro, let's reschedule our plans to Saturday, ..clearly, she got all set for tomorrow"...deal, I replied back as I stood up, Kelsy, tomorrow we have a deal, make sure you tell your sis to prepare enough chappos; "good night Pete, bye, you have her number, mshow, besides I don't know why you two ain't dating yet, Kelsy said jokingly. " Who knows, maybe her chappos will make him make a move, Kev, said walking me out, as we stepped out, Kelsy came holding some tin, Pete, your supper is sorted, just make sure you leave your stomach empty for tomorrow. Thanks, Kelsy, Kev is a lucky dude, indeed your sister may just be my lost rib! I said jokingly.

That night, I made a call to Marvin, explained to him the new developments, he was okay. I then made a call to Maya (Kelsy's twin sister), "Hey Maya, Chapo zimeiva?,  Yes, zimeiva, kujia she answered. By the way, how are you Pete, it's been ages since we last met, I am good I guess we all have been busy, but I hear Kelsy has some great plans for tomorrow. "Yes, we spent the whole evening shopping, we have some mini celebration, Kelsy got a promotion at her workplace, hence she is celebrating with all of us. That sounds good, congratulations to her, I am so happy for her, "I know" Maya said. After few chats, here and there, we promised to chat more on the next day, at Kev's place.

Saturday was here, after finishing with my house clean up, I dressed up and walked to Kev's apartment. Everyone was in, some soft music playing loudly, apparently everyone had some chores to do, trust Kelsy, she is one amazing lady, a planner; Pete and Maya, chappo, Kev and Kelsy other kitchen foodstuff, Marv and Cindy fetching water from the borehole that was on the ground floor, that's the notice I saw on the sitting room wall as I entered the house.

Oya, Pete, chappo zimeiva, shouted Marve and Cindy (Cindy was Maya's work mate, an equally beautiful lady), who were emptying their water jerrycans into some water drums in the Kitchen, Apparently Kev and Kelsy were prepraring some foodstuff in the kitchen balcon, Maya, my team member was busy assembling all items were needed for the chappatis. In my mind I knew, she was going to cook all the chappatis as I watched, and that was my plan, Maya yaani chappo bado hazijaiva? I asked as we hugged, to which she responded ebu pita huku uwashe jiko, hakuna vile tutapikia chappo kwa gas.

Kev's house was a beehive of activities and story telling, eavesdropping, shouts of nipe kijiko, nipe mafuta, ebu toka kwa njia nipite, ebu taste hiyo pilau kaa imeivaa, hiyo nyama iko na salt enough, ebu geuza hiyo chapo isiungue, ebu watu waombe kabla ya kuonja food, wapi crater? Nani ametoa knife hapa? We Kev hauna steel wool? Pete ebu fanya kublend hizo pineapples. Yes, you can imagine, a team of friends, meeting in one of their own's house, just to do nothing but cook eat and tease one another. That was what was happening here.

By lunch time, the table was set, it was some five or was it seven-course meal. Tukule ama? I asked obviously very hungry, hapana, tumwage, Kev said, ama tuuze, Maya responded, zii mi naona tupeleke children's home shouted Cindy, eti chidren's home? wacha za ovyoo, na vile nina maubao? retorted Marve. "Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for blessing us with a meal, as we are going to partake of it, we pray that you may bless it, in Jesus name I pray, Amen!" That was Kelsy, for you, very strong lady and always the one to bring us to order, in fact, she was the brains behind this meetup.

After self-service, Kev, stood up and said "Congratulations, to the most beautiful and hard working lady I have ever known, I am so proud of you Kelsy., so proud to have you in my life.' Guys, Kelsy, got a promotion at her workplace, she doesn't want to brag about it, but it is a great achievement that we must all be proud of, Kev said as he went on his knees, "Will you marry me, Kelsy?" Things were moving so fast, everything was happening so fast, none of us saw this coming, not even Kelsy herself, "Yes I will Kev, I love so so much dear" Kelsy responded as tears dropped down her cheeks. The ladies in the room were all crying too, from Maya to Cindy, Marve just sat there, shouting, wife her, wife her, wife her, everyone else joined chanting wife her, wife her, wife her, as Kev put the engagement ring on her finger, officially,  pulling Kelsy off the market.

Utaoa lini Pete, Maya who was seated by my side asked, aki sijui, I responded, we ebu oa utolee wengine jam, she hit back.

Long story short Kev and Kelsy were now officially engaged. We then descended on the meal without mercy, eating, occasionally giving thumbs up for whoever had cooked whichever meal you took. And yes, Maya, can cook real good chapatis, she is a pro, "Maya, you need to be wifed too, I don't know why you are still single with this kind of cooking, I said picking my fourth chappo" What are you waiting for? Cindy and Kelsy said in unison, who is waiting for what? I asked, "You, what are you waiting for before you can wife her?" Tina!  Marve and Kev said in unison.

Actually, guys, we are supposed to be in Kisumu as we speak. Kisumu? Mbona sina Memo? Kelsy asked? Pete has some lady he is chasing, Tina, we were actually driving together down to Kisumu to help him trace her. Trace her? Maya and Cindy asked, yes trace her, Kev interjected, but it's a long story. But yesterday, when Pete passed by, he was to let you know of our plans, but when you spoke of the plans you had for us today, we decided to drop the travel plans and plan for a Saturday drive to Kisumu.

I am joining you guys, Cindy said, Me too, it's long since I was in Kisumu, who said I was going to remain behind? Kisumu twasija Maya said jokingly. Ladies and gentlemen, the journey to Kisumu is going to be more adventurous. Three men in the car, three ladies, all in the name of Finding Tina, Tina had to be found, Mission Kisumu better be successful....
