Relax, God's Timing is the Best!

In His Time, He makes Every Second
Worth the wait!!
One late evening I am walking with my best of friends Bessie, she had asked me to accompany her to a shopping mall and since she was Bessie I couldn't object. You see Bessie is this type of a lady, who is very mature for her age, very charming, quick at brightening the mood of the room, she is just tops, very updated with current affairs, be it football, politics, social media trends etc., but again a very staunch christian with good understanding of the bible. That is Bessie for you, one person you will always want by your side.

On this evening we are walking to the mall, discussing a range of topics from Leicester winning the English Premier League, Arsenal's next season promises, Kobe Bryant's retirement, to the the demise of Papa Wemba, Prince, Chyna and Kenya's former first lady Mama Lucy Kibaki. That is why you would want Bassie for a best of friends, always charming, quick to integrate in conversations, simply amazing, never one to be sad. As we reach the shopping mall, of course after discussing everything in the world, she tells me "Hey Pete by the way I wasn't even planning to buy anything" So I look at her smiling and ask "So what brings us here?" For Bessie, its useless to get annoyed, she won't notice, that's why I decided to smile. " I was bored in the house, and thought I needed an evening stretch, I gave you a call, you voluntarily accepted" she said smiling displaying her beautiful dimples, and that's how she was forgiven.

I guess, we can do window shopping and then walk back, she said. I offered to buy for both  of us some tea scones and milk, the next day was Sunday, so this could work well for our breakfast before we went to church. As we walk around the mall, she suddenly stops at a book shelve that had several inspiration, church books and picked one book and showed the front cover to me saying Pete ebu soma hiyo title (Pete, could you please read the title) So I read it, its was Joyce Meyer's I Dare You, Embrace Life with Passion, don't tell me you have read this book, I said just before she spoke, No, I haven't she says, what do you think about daring? she continues to ask, its all about having some courage to do something that you couldn't do in normal circumstances. She continues to say; Key words "Courage"and "Normal Circumstances".

She placed the book down, and we continued to walk around just looking at different items, and goods, so we walk through to an area that had very expensive leather sofa seats and dinning table complete with seats that looked very elegant. Then I said, will we one day walk in here and pay for such seats without feeling a pinch? Bessie, looks at me smiling and showing off her dimples, you see whenever she smiles displaying her dimples, definitely I could expect some serious talk from her. So she says "Pete where is your faith?" Ain't you the son of God? I answered Yes, "Who created the heaven and the Earth and everything therein as per the book of Genesis 1:1?" Bessie its God! she looked at me again and said "Pete dare him" he will bless the works of your hands and once he does so, you will not only walk in here for this seats, but you will order for an importation.

Pete, don't look at me like that, just dare him,! In real sense, I wasn't even looking at her, I was just wondering how such a young lady could speak very simple but very powerful. We spend sometime around the mall, picked up our tea scones and milk, plus some chocolate for her, and we walked off. A long the way, Bessie continued with her motivational talk, "I believe the best things in life are meant for those who work hard and those whom God has blessed, but we must always work with his timing." At this point I couldn't help but ask her, Bessie, where did you learn all this? Pete, its a personal decision I made while in college, that I will live a positive life, improve my life and live a better life than what my parents gave us. Each morning I wake up, full of life not giving up on my dreams, knowing that its a new day, a new dawn for me to improve life. But, most importantly I never let anyone tell me that I can't because, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We had reach her apartment, me lost in my own world, wondering how such a young lady wasn't having fun out there, like most ladies at her age, just how such a beautiful lady was so committed to God, then I knew, the power is in our hearts, we can decide what we want our life to be, the power lies within us. She opened her door, and before she got in, we hugged and she murmured to me saying "When you focus on God's promises instead of the problems, you'll notice your thoughts will be healthier and filled with peace. and remember when things aren't working out as you wish, be patient and stop trying to move ahead of God. His timing is perfect and you will walk inside that mall and pay for the leather sofa seats and the dinning table plus its seats or better still order for an importation." Amen and thank you Bessie, this evening has been very productive than I thought, she just smiled off and got inside the house, as I walked off, she called me back and said by the way Pete, what was that title of that Joyce Meyer book we saw in the mall? I Dare You: Embrace Life with Passion  I answered her. Yeah that's my message to you Pete, have a blessed night, she closed her door.

I walked off, blessed and inspired than ever!
