GREENSTEDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL: Close to 84 years ago (1936), a school that prides itself in promoting ‘passion and pride’ in all aspects of school life through a team of highly professional and dedicated teachers and staff was established.

LOCATION: 16km from Nakuru, 140 km from Nairobi, and just a few minutes from Nakuru National Park and within easy reach of lake Naivasha, Elementaita, Bogoria and Baringo.

EARLY YEARS: They follow the revised English Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, providing a curriculum full of activities, themes and real-life experiences that motivate the children and provide a solid base for their future learning and development

JUNIOR SCHOOL: Your kid is provided with a Personal, Social and Health Education that helps them deal with real life issues as they grow up. A typical lesson will involve a ‘circle time’ where the children sit in a circle and take turns to discuss an issue such as caring for the environment or bullying. A conclusion will be drawn by either the students or the teacher on what has been learnt in the session and how these lessons can be implemented into real lives.
>Junior Boarding:- Teaching staff and Matrons live-in and support the students, overseeing all their needs and to facilitate the day-to-day domestic side of the dorms.
>Facilities: A common Room with TV (DSTV), kitchen areas for preparing light snacks, hot showers and laundry service
>Visiting: Parents are welcome to visit their children at any time, by arrangement with their child’s Dorm Tutor or during the Parents’ Weekends.
>Activities: Active clubs include; rugby, hockey, netball, rounders, cricket, athletics, running, roller-skating, Tae Kwon Do, swimming, journalism, chess, bead club, horse riding, art, pottery, cookery and dance
SENIOR SCHOOL: They offer a curriculum that contributes to the development of a pupil’s sense of identity through knowledge and understanding of the moral, social, cultural and spiritual heritages of our diverse society and of the local, national and global dimensions of their lives.
A LEVEL: They aim to equip all your kid with skills and knowledge to help them become well-rounded individuals through a holistic approach to their education. Here emphasize is not only on academic excellence, but also on encouraging student participation in sports, the arts and the community both within and outside the school.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: headmaster’s Project for Year 12s, helping at the Arap Moi Orphanage, Rhino Charge and having a renowned band and choir. The school also offers expert coaches on the sports field, enabling the school teams to excel in athletics and other sports.
SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS: Students from this school have represented Kenya and other national teams in: Cricket, Swimming and Athletic Sprints; a student broke the U21 Kenya 100m record and the Open Girls Hockey team reached the semi-finals of the Provincials hockey.

Scholarship for schools - eligibility requirements:
Must be normally resident in Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania
Age 13-18
Must show evidence of strong leadership capabilities in four areas:
– Academic excellence;
– Achievement in sport, music, or drama;
– Social Influence & Communication;
– Citizenship.
Annual Gross Household Income must not exceed US$80,000
The Beacon Scholarship for University - Eligibility
Hold an offer from a Beacon Partner university which include: University of Bristol; University of Cambridge; Cardiff University; London School of Economics; University of Surrey.
Must be normally resident in Kenya, Tanzania or Uganda
Must show evidence of strong leadership capabilities in four areas:
– Academic excellence;
– Achievement in sport, music, or drama;
– Social Influence & Communication;
– Citizenship.
Capacity to study independently overseas
Commitment to return to home country within 1 month of degree completion
Annual Gross Household Income must not exceed US$100,000
