PEMBROKE HOUSE SCHOOL

PEMBROKE HOUSE SCHOOL:  Back to schools - you remember this photo at the statehouse with H.E the President? In January, you saw trending photos of kids reporting back to school after the Christmas holidays in choppers? Yes, let us have a look at a school that was established in 1927, which describes itself as having a Unique Spirit.

The international school is located in Nakuru County, Gilgil-Nyahururu, and offers British curriculum and boarding facilities for children aged 2 and 13 years.

Notable facilities:
Sanitorium - The school has fully qualified nurses both day & night, a doctor on call for more serious cases, and access to medical specialists as well as a counselor
Clubs -  The school has clubs like Cooking, Fishing & Outdoor, Scrapbooking, Yoga, Fine Art Colouring, ICT, Synchronised Swimming and Football.

School Trips -  To, fun and educational locations such as Maasai Mara, Bobong, Naivasha, Ol Pejeta, Mt Kenya, Sagana and The Milgis
Specialist lessons - Swimming, Drama, Music, PE, Horse Riding, Bike Riding, Computing and Kiswahili each week

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) - Involves appreciating spoken and written language, with a focus on performing. Children learn how to deliver their lines with clarity, confidence, and appropriate emotion, mostly when reciting poetry.

Year 1 392,400 5 years
Year 2 627,800 6 years
Years 3-8 784,800 7 years+

Bursaries & Scholarships: This school has some great bursaries and scholarships.
Bursary: Available for families with a recognized financial difficulty in being able to meet the school’s full fees. However, both parents are required to provide proof of their income and assets.
Scholarships: If your kid has a unique skill or excellence in a certain area, then at the entrance the school may offer a scholarship.

TO THE PARENT THEY PROMISE: We are a small, vibrant flexible boarding school for children aged 2 - 13, following a British curriculum. We focus on nurturing every child to fulfill their individual goals and aspirations. Every child matters and every moment counts.

My thoughts: This is one great school, in fact home away from home, with a great environment, facilities, and pastoral care for your child. They even send instrumentalists to the Orchestral Weekend at Turi. This is a school that develops your kid not to be dependent on employment but to become self-reliant.

What do you think?
